Nao Tomori

Nao Tomori is the love interest of Yuu Otosaka in the anime Charlotte. Nao is the student council president of Hoshinoumi Academy and she works to protect teenagers with superpowers so they won't be captured and experimented on like her brother. She is hardworking, but is also narcissistic. She has the ability to make herself invisible, but this is limited to one person of her choosing at a time. She is a huge fan of the band ZHIEND. She and Yuu iniatially don't get along as she hates the way he abused his powers to cheat on his exams and he resented her for exposing his cheating. Eventually, they start to become friends and Yuu develops feelings for her after she helps him recover from his depression after his sister's death.

In Episode 12, Yuu Otosaka admits to Nao Tomori that he loves her. Nao Tomori replies back with her looking not interested, then they argued with that. Yuu Otosaka still says that he loves her after they stopped arguing to each other, and Nao Tomori builds a promies that she will accept it if Yuu Otosaka plunders every ability in the world, and Yuu Otosaka started taking Nao Tomori's invisibility ability first.

In Episode 13, Yuu Otosaka plunders every ability in the world, but he keeps forgetting it after he plundered thousands of abilities, but he always remembers his promise with Nao Tomori when he looks at the flash cards Nao Tomori gave him. After plundering the last ability, Shunsuke Otosaka and his friends pick up Yuu Otosaka, escaping with a police helicopter. Then, they go back to the hospital and seeing that Nao Tomori is by her side inside the hospital room reading a book. Nao Tomori welcomes him, but he doesn't remember anything about her at all, then Nao Tomori tries to make him remember by telling their memories, but Yuu Otosaka still doesn't remember. He looks at the flash cards and Nao Tomori tells him about it, and Yuu Otosaka's compliments made her have tears of joy. In the next scene, Nao Tomori photographs them, and they talked about new memories, and what's to come.
