She was a member of the Huntsclan. She has a birthmark on her right palm and wrist. She started out as the new girl at Jake's school and she bumped into Jake. She became the object of his strong and pure romantic love.
Jake later discovered that she was the Huntsgirl (whom he battled with as The American Dragon) and was uncertain whether to love or fight the woman of his dreams.
He strongly cared about her and both of their romantic feelings were indeed mutual and genuine and were able for a time to pursue their romantic feelings for each other after the confusion which later prompts him to reveal his identity to her as the American Dragon while being hunted by the Huntsclan along with other captive magical beings. Rose, horrified that she was about to kill Jake, frees him before fleeing and moving schools.
Rose was told by the Huntsman that both of her parents had died shortly after her birth due to being orphaned early and was raised by the Huntsclan.
Her alter-ego was exposed to Jake during the Ski Trip and disappeared only to later return after her retraining with the Huntsclan. Jake bumps into Rose once again with no memory of him other than looking familiar.
Rose then explained how she had found the pre-wish picture and restored her memory, she and Jake discover their romantic feelings for both of them and continued their relationship.
